I had an amazing experience in Colombia with Lotus Retreats in July 2023. Loren and Rachel are fantastic women who lead with love and light. They show so much care and respect towards each person's experience and offer each guest the opportunity to make their trip as busy or relaxed as they wish it to be. I highly recommend the excursions, as I got to experience more of Colombia and the history of its culture; however, they are optional, which is great on days when a guest would prefer some time spent in reflection. The daily yoga offerings were my favorite part, as they brought different styles of yoga, pranayama techniques, and sound healing into class. And finally, the freshly prepared, locally-sourced meals were INCREDIBLE. My body is still thanking me!

An INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCE for our senior leadership team. The way Rachel led our team through a learning journey across the ESG spectrum was nothing short of exceptional. From the day we arrived in the rainforest to enjoying waterfall hikes; exposure to the biodiverse landscape, insects, plants, birds and animals; watching sea turtle hatching (4am), beach clean-up from offshore dumping from adjacent countries; the BIOSUR exhibit, the Chocolate Farm, the local English spelling bee competition; the list goes on and on. But all this culminated in our team gaining an experience that enabled us to better understand and instill passion to our approach to the ESG journey. From this trip we have become passionate, engaged believers on how for profit organizations are vital to earth’s future and all that inhibit this planet. A heartfelt thank you for our entire team! Our company recently executed an International Corporate Event for all of our employees as well as thier significant others. This extraordinary experience included: air travel on U.S and Costa Rican Airlines utilizing both English and Spanish, Passport Control, In Country Travel, Lodging, Special Diets, Meals served in various/numerous venues, addressed all necessary Covid requirements, provided Corporate Training and Special Events such as Deep Sea Fishing, Zip Lining through the Rain Forest, Hiking to secluded waterfalls, Horse Back Riding, Surfing and Beach Activities, Travel to Animal Reserves and a Cacao Plantation where we made chocolate as it was made a thousand years ago. None of this would have been possible without the planning and coordination provided by Rachel. Her focus and attention to detail coupled with her commonsense approach, energetic and pleasing demeanor, coupled with her past experience as a corporate planner, allowed my company to experience an event that many of my employees said created the “trip of a lifetime that they would never forget.” Meeting all of our needs while anticipating the unexpected, finding unique activities for our diverse group while always being available to rapidly address any situation and answer any question, Rachel’s team has set a new standard for retreats.  I have never recommended anyone in the past, but it is with my highest recommendation that if you’re considering doing something difficult for your employees, Rachel Ocean is who you want to engage.
